SOUNDTRACK COMPOSITION

Dungeon Tactics Advance

A small album written for GBA Jam 2024, where we created a game called Dungeon Tactics Advance, a strategy RPG where the player gathers equipment and abilities to progress through the floors of a dungeon. It can be found at itch.io. Be warned, it's very addictive and you will want to replay it to try different builds and get further!

5 Tracks, 2024

01 - Title Screen

The music for the start screen uses a somber, detuned piano sound. A quiet but constant snare line comes in later on, as the player advances through the menu in anticipation of starting the game.

02 - Enter the Dungeon

A track for the regular floors of the dungeon. The music is steadily paced and not too threatening, as the trip through the dungeon is long. The second section has a groovy drum beat which maintains the piece's energy.

03 - You Were Teleported Out of the Dungeon

A short series of string chords repeating the motif from track 01, which plays when you get a Game Over.

04 - Boss Encounter

The track for elite dungeon encounters is mostly fast and menacing, but has an upbeat section with a panflute solo which releases tension and encourages the player not to give up.

05 - Boss Defeated

A short victory jingle quoting the end of track 01, which plays when an elite encounter map is cleared.
